"Roll the Penny," is a homeschooling project my sister and I are doing. My sister (Loretta) and I, (Musa) will go into the eyes of a 1939 penny and imagine what it went though in it's travels from the year it was minted in Philadelphia to present day. Our plan is about each week of the next year (2014) we will post a story of what the penny might have done, people he could have met and all the things he could have seen and experienced.
We got the idea one day when we found a penny in the dirt and saw it was from 1939. We started to talk about all the places that penny could have been in 75 years, and the idea for this project was born.
We are basing this project from actual history events, and historical people and places so it will be historical fiction.
We are hoping for a exciting adventure and I hope you will join us!
